Water District Approves Report
The Glasscock Groundwater Conservation District’s Board of Directors approved the 2006 District Action Plan Annual Report at its meeting Jan. 16.
According to the report, the average cost of a water analysis was $26, and 87 of them were performed during the year. Twenty-eight mineral and 59 coliform analyses were done. Eight water wells were permitted; two were registered and all complied with district spacing, drilling and construction standards.
No producers used the district’s Topcon mapping equipment and the laser plane leveling equipment was used five times. One investigation of possible contamination from oil and gas production was conducted and no complaints or unplugged, abandoned oil/ gas wells were reported to the Texas Railroad Commission.
