Thanks for Kindnesses
I want to thank everyone involved in the 4-H benefit for our family -- what a special gift the whole event was. I know very well how much hard work and preparation goes into an event like this, and your hard work will not be forgotten. I am not sure I possess the words to express our heartfelt gratitude, but please know that from the bottom of our hearts we appreciate each one of you!
I grew up hearing my grandfather say, “You judge a man’s wealth by the love of his family and friends.” Well, the kids and I feel like Douglas was a very rich man. It’s quite a legacy to leave for our children. Even though our hearts are broken and we will always miss Douglas, we continue to thank God for all the blessings in our life, and we consider being a member of this community and having such wonderful friends as our number one blessing.
